TonRoad Free Ride is a virtual travel and exploration application provided by TonRoad. It allows users to choose cities and places, explore real street panoramas, invite friends to shared virtual locations, play the Hot or Cold location challenge, and continue a journey through the separate TonRoad Air application.
Depending on the functions used, TonRoad Free Ride may process:
TonRoad Free Ride may request access to device location to start a virtual journey near the user or to support location-based functions. Users may also choose a city or place manually. Location permission can be changed in the Android device settings. Some location-based functions may not work without this permission.
Street panoramas, maps and related geographic content may be provided by Google services. Requests needed to display this content may include coordinates, map position and standard technical information. The use of those services is also subject to the applicable Google privacy terms.
Some game or guide functions may use an artificial-intelligence service to generate descriptions or hints. Relevant game requests, selected location context and recent interaction context may be sent securely to the TonRoad service and an AI service provider for this purpose. Users should not submit passwords, payment-card details, banking credentials or other highly sensitive information.
Preferences, session information and parts of the current journey may be stored locally on the device. Account, profile, presence, shared-session, game and security information may be stored on TonRoad servers or service providers used by TonRoad. Removing the application may delete local data, but it may not automatically delete server-stored account data.
TonRoad Free Ride may communicate with service providers used for hosting, authentication, databases, maps, street panoramas, artificial intelligence, security and Google Play functionality. These providers process information only as needed to deliver their services, maintain security or comply with legal obligations.
If paid features are offered through Google Play, purchase tokens and transaction status may be processed to verify access. Payment-card details are handled by Google Play and are not received or stored by TonRoad.
TonRoad Air is a separate application. TonRoad Free Ride may open TonRoad Air and receive destination information from it. Data processed directly by TonRoad Air is governed by the privacy policy applicable to that application.
Personal information is not sold. Information is not shared for unrelated advertising purposes. Information may be shared with service providers only when needed to provide the requested functions, maintain security, comply with legal obligations or protect users and the service.
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account and game functions, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes and address technical or security issues. Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information and the function for which it is used.
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect information. However, no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users may deny or withdraw optional permissions in Android settings, stop using online features, delete local application data or uninstall the application.
Users may request deletion of their TonRoad Free Ride account and associated server-stored data from Menu → My profile → Delete account. A request can also be submitted using the public TonRoad Free Ride account-deletion page or by contacting TonRoad at the email address below.
Deletion requests are normally processed within 30 days. A minimal request-completion record may be retained for up to 90 days after completion for security, fraud prevention, support and audit purposes. Some information may be retained longer when required by law or necessary to resolve an active dispute.
TonRoad Free Ride is intended for a general audience and is not designed specifically for children under 13. Parents or legal guardians should supervise use by minors where required by local law.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when application functions, service providers or legal requirements change. The current version will remain available on this page.
